Fluently is a Korean speaking app for conversation practice with an AI tutor. You talk out loud, the tutor answers in Korean and corrects particles, verb endings and phrasing as you go, and captions and corrections translate into your own language with a tap.

The correction, explained

토요일 삼 시에 친구를 만나요.토요일 세 시에 친구를 만나요.

Korean has two sets of numbers, and hours use the native Korean set: three o’clock is 세 시 (se si), not 삼 시 (sam si). Minutes use the Sino-Korean set, so 3:30 is 세 시 삼십 분 (se si samsip bun).

Get feedback as you speak

The tutor corrects you inside the conversation. A wrong particle, number or verb ending gets a short correction card while you keep talking, and a phrase that sounds translated from English gets a more natural Korean version. Explanations are written in Korean, with a translate button for your own language.

에 (e) marks where something is or where you are going; 에서 (eseo) marks where an action happens. Studying is an action, so the café takes 에서.

Start at your level

The tutor simplifies its Korean when you struggle, suggests words to connect your ideas and lets you say a missing word in your own language. As you manage more, conversations get longer.

How do I learn Korean with Fluently’s AI tutor?

Install the app, pick Korean as the language you are learning and set your own language for translations, then start talking. Each session is a spoken conversation in Korean about whatever you bring up: the tutor answers, asks follow-up questions and shows a correction card when a particle, ending or phrase is off.

Can I start as a beginner?

Yes, if you can say a few basic Korean phrases. The tutor simplifies its Korean when you struggle, suggests how to start a sentence, and lets you say a missing word in your own language. Conversations are spoken from the first session, so learners with no Korean at all may find the first ones demanding. Captions are in Hangul and the app does not teach reading or writing, so knowing Hangul helps you follow along.

What feedback will I receive?

Correction cards for grammar (particles, verb endings, number words) and for phrasing a native speaker would say differently, plus suggestions for words you need. Each card has a short explanation in Korean and a translate button, and the session notes keep the corrections for later. Pronunciation is not scored for Korean: there is no pronunciation feedback during the conversation, and the pronunciation drills in the app cover English, Spanish, French and Hebrew.

Is the AI Korean tutor free?

Installing the app and the level check at the start are free; conversations with the tutor are part of a Fluently subscription. When a trial is available, the app shows it before you pay.

Do I need to download the app?

Yes. Korean practice with the AI tutor happens in the Fluently app for iPhone and Android. Use the App Store or Google Play links on this page to install it.

Is Fluently a Korean AI chatbot?

Not in the typing sense. You talk to the tutor out loud and it answers out loud in Korean, with live captions and correction cards during the conversation. It works more like a speaking partner that corrects you than a text chatbot.
