In a German main clause the conjugated verb comes second. When the sentence starts with a time phrase like am Samstag, the subject moves after the verb: habe ich.

A short check at the start, where you pick the German words you know, estimates your level before the first conversation.
Speaking
You talk out loud and the tutor answers in German, asks follow-up questions and keeps the conversation going on topics you choose.
Corrections
A grammar slip or an unnatural phrase gets a short correction card in the moment, with the rule explained in German.
Translation
Captions and correction cards translate into your own language, and you can say a missing word in your language when you get stuck.

The tutor corrects you inside the conversation, not at the end of a lesson. When an article, a case ending or the verb position slips, a short correction card appears while you keep talking; the explanation is in German, with a translate button for your own language.

Correction cards for grammar (articles and cases, verb position, verb forms) and for phrasing a native speaker would say differently, plus vocabulary suggestions. Each card has a short explanation in German and a translate button, and the session notes keep the corrections for later. Pronunciation is not scored for German: the tutor does not grade it during the call, and the app’s pronunciation drills do not cover German.
