Fluently is an app to practice speaking Dutch with AI. You talk out loud, the AI Dutch tutor answers in Dutch and keeps the conversation going, and it corrects de and het, word order and phrasing as you go. Captions and corrections translate into your own language with a tap.
The correction, explained
Centrum is a het-word, so it takes het rather than de. Every Dutch noun is either a de-word or a het-word, and the article is best learned together with the noun.

What the tutor does
Level check
A short check at the start, where you pick the Dutch words you know, estimates your level before the first conversation.
Speaking
You talk out loud and the tutor answers in Dutch, asks follow-up questions and keeps the conversation going on topics you choose.
Corrections
A grammar slip or an unnatural phrase gets a short correction card in the moment, with the rule explained in Dutch.
Translation
Captions and correction cards translate into your own language, and you can say a missing word in your language when you get stuck.
Review
Each session keeps what you said and the corrections, so you can go back over it before the next conversation.
Situations
The tutor talks about whatever you bring to it. These are situations learners often rehearse, with the kind of line you would say. They are conversation topics, not preset courses or modes in the app.

After linking words like of, dat and omdat, Dutch moves the verbs to the end of the clause, so kan comes after morgen: of ik morgen kan komen.
